Ruby Lee Wiggins Obituary
An angel just got her wings RUBY LEE WIGGINS of Sun City, CA, our beloved angel, flew quietly and peacefully to be with Jesus on July 21, 2016. Ruby was born in Arkansas on November 10, 1922, and later moved with her family to sunny California. It was there where she met Clarence Elee Wiggins, her loving husband of more than 50 years. They settled in Dinuba, CA, in the San Juaquin Valley where they raised their family of three children. Always a hard-working person, Ruby was employed for many years as a supervisor in fruit-packing houses, often managing 100+ workers and showing love to all of them. Additionally, Ruby was a skilled seamstress who applied her talents by working as a busy alterations lady after retiring from the packing houses. After their baby birds flew from the nest, Ruby and Clarence retired to Sun City, CA, where they made many new friends and shared their love for the Lord. Menifee Bible Church was Ruby's second home for many years, its members being part of her extended family. Ruby felt so blessed to be a volunteer for the VA Hospital in Redlands for a period of time before proudly serving as a volunteer with Hope Hospice of Sun City. She felt that the Lord had truly called her for Hope Hospice work and she was proud to have been named their "Volunteer of the Month" more than once. She continued her hospice work even after the age of 90. Ruby could light up a room with her smile, laughter and sense of humor. Five generations have been shaped by her love, integrity, faith and spirit. Ruby is survived by her 2 sons, Lonnie Wiggins and Mel Wiggins, and her daughter, Carole Foster; grandchildren Sheila Kennedy, Brian Wiggins, Cheryl Budd, Darla Goodrum, Dina Mannise, Tiffany Wiggins, Shelley Morgan, Brad Thomas, and Ashley Thomas Sprague; 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, never forgotten and always in our hearts. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, July 30 at 10:30 am, Menifee Bible Church. Graveside Ceremony following at 1 pm, Pierce Brothers Mortuary, Riverside, CA
