Sal Lane Obituary
SAL LANE passed away on Dec. 25, 2016. She touched so many people and so many touched her (insert one of her inappropriate jokes here). Sal, who owned Lane's Country Store in downtown Riverside and Estate Sale by Sal, was known by many as the "Queen Bitch", a title that she cherished. She passed away at home with her cats and dogs laying at her side. She made the decisions all the way to the end. "My children Dan (Kathy Rose); Kim (Joe Gutierrez), Diana and Curtis were the joy of my life, as were my grandchildren, Adam, Michaela, Sam, Connor, Peter and Olivia; great grandchildren Wyatt and Cashton; my beloved Daniel Cannarozzi; sister, Sue Cannon; and brother, Paul Sheffer. To them I say 'To thine own self be true.' Please don't be sad, she wouldn't want that. Think of the good memories and lift a cocktail in her memory or read a good book in her honor and as she often said "Don't sweat the small stuff." A celebration of Sal's life will take place from noon to 6 pm. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at the Elks Lodge, 6166 Brockton Ave. in Riverside. Wear colors and dress for a celebration. Bring your stories to share.
