Samuel Wallace Bailey Obituary
SAMUEL WALLACE BAILEY Born April 1, 1921 in Okeene, Oklahoma, son of Charles Frederick Bailey and Edna Wheeland Bailey. Passed October 24, 2012 in Moreno Valley, California surrounded by his loving tribe. Beloved husband of Arleen Bailey for 69 years, father of 13 children, grandfather to 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grand-children. Noble veteran of World War II, Samuel served in the Pacific Theater as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a dedicated employee of Lockheed Aircraft for 44 years; working on numerous projects, such as the P38 and SR-71 through the Skunkworks as an inspector. Sam was a devoted family man and generous benefactor to the Catholic Church. He was a tirelessly faithful Lockheed employee whose dedicated work ethic created an excellent role model for all of his descendants. His quick wit always brought a smile or laugh to those who loved him or knew him. He will always be remembered for his three peck kiss that he bestowed upon his loving wife twice a day. His strong moral character, sense of integrity and admirable loyalty made him a patriarch like no other. Sam's level of perfection for all who witnessed his work was demonstrated by his motto... "If you are going to do a job, do it right the first time." He took pleasure in reading, craftwork and creating new efficiencies with home appliances and electronics. During his early retirement years, he enjoyed traveling the continental US and globetrotting to places such as the Caribbean, Europe, Australia and Asia with his beloved wife, Arleen. Arrangements are Entrusted to the Care of 9695 Magnolia Ave. Riverside, CA 92503 (951) 785-4071 Please go to www.akesfamilyfuneralhome.com and sign the guest book.
