Sharon Lynn Aldrich Obituary
SHARON LYNN ALDRICH of Riverside, CA passed away on Oct. 20, 2014 at the age of 81. She was born Sharon Lynn Pratt to parents Olive and Winston Pratt in Council Bluffs, Iowa February 15, 1933. Sharon enjoyed living in Sacramento, CA and Burlington, IA before finally settling in Riverside in 1968. Sharon met the love of her life in high school and was married on April 11, 1951 in the First Christian Church in Burlington, lA to Richard Eugene Aldrich.. Richard was a loving and doting husband to Sharon and they spent 63 wonderful years together. Sharon worked off and on as a telephone operator but gave much of herself to her husband, Richard and their three children, Debbie Kupper, (of Parker, CO) Lori Spriggs (of Riverside) and Scott Aldrich (of Riverside.) Sharon enjoyed playing scrabble with her children and friends. She loved going to Pechanga weekly with Richard and she knew how to play those machines! Sharon would never say no to a card game and many nights you could find her at the card table at home with her lifelong friends Carolyn and AI Privia. Sharon was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She and her husband hosted Friday night pizza for family and friends for over forty years! Sharon was also an excellent cook and was known for her "world famous brownies." Sharon was an only child and craved affection of family. Her family grew to include 2 sons-in-law, Mark Kupper, Scott Spriggs and 1 daughter-in-law, Denise Aldrich. She was grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren, Chad, Britt, Hayden, Chandlor, Gavin, and baby Bella. Sharon had a special box that always held toys for all the children and as they grew she would always give them unique gifts. We will all miss our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother dearly and will remember her with love and affection. The family would like to thank Dr. Mina Mikhail and Dr. Patrick Moloney for their years of care and affection and to nurse Emily for her love and concern during our difficult time.
