SHARON MASAE KRUPA Dec. 15, 1925 to Mar. 13, 2015 Born in Hilo, Hawaii to Minoru and Hana Murakami, 5th child of 8 children 4th daughter. Walked barefoot to school until 7th grade. Worked in Sugar Cane fields and Pineapple Cannery. War Bride. Loving Wife. "Tough Love" Mother. Devoted Grandmother. Awesome Auntie. Favorite Sister. Good Friend. Beautiful. Friendly. Kind. Adventurer. Independent. Self-Sufficient. Spirit of Fun. Great Sense of Humor. Accomplished Seamstress. Baker/Decorator of Wedding Cakes. Excellent Cook. Talented Artist and Exceptional Painter. Doll Maker. Lover of Books and Flowers. Lived in Riverside since 1960. These are a few of the words that come to mind when thinking of Sharon Krupa, 89, who passed away in Northern California, surrounded by her loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Krupa of Silver Spring, FLA and son, Ronald Krupa (Joyce) of Concord, CA. MomMom has 7 grandchildren: Major Josh Krupa (Cyndi) of Ft. Drum, NY, Jason Krupa (Courtney) of Concord, CA, Jared Krupa (Brianna) of Martinez, CA, Joel Krupa (Danielle) of Concord, CA, Kellee Ross of Louisville, KY, Brittany Ross-Leddy (Jeff Leddy) of Georgetown, KY, and Tiffany Ross of Louisville, KY. She was also loved by 11 great-grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by her sisters, Kazue Tanimoto, Miyoko Hoshide, Margaret Tsuyuno Hirata, and Haruye Hagiwara (Hiram)-all of Hawaii. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 52 years, Peter; her 1st-born son, Peter Jr. and her brothers, Etsuro, Katsusuke and Keishi Murakami. Auntie Sharon's memory will also be cherished by numerous loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Sharon's Life was attended by family on March 21, 2015 in Walnut Creek. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10th, 2015 at 12:15 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to their favorite charity in her name.
