Sophia (Kubic) Lozipone Obituary
SOPHIA LOZIPONE (KUBIC), age 93, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2014, at the Veteran Hospital, VA HealthCare in Loma Linda, CA, surrounded by her 4 children. She was born on October 26, 1920 in Barton, Ohio. She had lived in Moreno Valley, CA for 28 years, previously in Riverside for 8 years, and Lorain, Ohio. She was a World War II Veteran, Corporal, Army WACS for 2½ years. Sophia is registered in the World War II Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. She was a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Lozipone; parents Steven Kubic and Barbara Perhasz Kubic; sisters Mary Borosh, Theresa Korpon and Margie Sass, all of Ohio; brothers John Kubic of Wisconsin, Steven Kubic of Ohio and Andy Kubic of Wisconsin and granddaughter Jozette White. She is survived by daughters Ann Fox of Clayton, CA and Marian Mittler of Medina, Ohio; sons Raymond White of Moreno Valley and Thomas White of Ashland, OH; grandchildren Bill Mittler of Anaheim Hills, Bob Mittler of Florida, Jim Mittler of Houston, TX, Joe Mittler of Ohio; Larry White of Ohio and Tommy White of Ohio. and 10 great grandchildren. Vistitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 7 from 5-8pm with Rosary at 6pm, both at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA. Funeral Mass will be Monday, Sept. 8 at 10am at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 25075 Cottonwood Ave., Moreno Valley, CA with burial at 11:30am at Riverside National Cemetery.
