Stanley Eugene Fry Obituary
STANLEY EUGENE FRY, beloved husband, father and "Papa" passed away in his home January 4, 2017. "Stan", a native of Dublin, Ireland, arrived in Riverside, CA as a young man, and made the city his home for nearly 60 years. Early in his professional life, Stan worked as an aerospace engineer for Lockheed Propulsion Co., and then as a biomedical engineer for Bourns, Inc., and BEAR Medical Systems. He went on to graduate from Citrus Belt Law School in Riverside and began a successful law career, working in private practice, corporate and regulatory law, and became recognized as an expert in medical device law. Even in retirement, he continued to provide legal consultation services to medical device firms. Stan was also known for his love of soccer and served for years as the chief referee for Riverside AYSO. Other hobbies included woodworking, fishing (especially fly-fishing), reading, and attending air shows and museums. His greatest delight however, was spending time with his three grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carole; his daughter, Eileen, son-in-law, Michael, and grandsons, Liam and Colin; and his son, Robert, daughter-in-law, Meredith, and granddaughter, Stella. He is also survived by his sister, Noreen, and her husband, Gordon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private funeral mass was held for Stan at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Riverside, and his ashes were interred at Olivewood Memorial Park on January 13, 2017. He will be deeply missed by all who loved, knew or worked with him.
