STEVE HAWKINS Steve passed away unexpectedly on Thursday night, July 9, 2015. He had been visiting the home of his sister in Lafayette, California. Steve was born on May 25, 1945 in Riverside, California to Charlotte and Tom Hawkins. They moved to Alhambra and then to Temple City where he attended Longden Avenue Elementary School and Temple City High School. Steve went on to become an architectural draftsman and designed new and remodeled homes for almost 50 years. Steve married and had two children, Carrie Lynn and Craig Coldren. They lived in Huntington Beach and Diamond Bar. He became a Beach Boys fan the first time he saw them in 1962 and attended over 50 concerts at many venues. His record and CD collection is large, as is his hat and t-shirt collection. Steve was a Dodgers fan for years and never missed a broadcast game. He enjoyed gold panning and loved the mountains, especially Crestline. He was predeceased by his parents and his son Craig. He is survived by his daughter Carrie and her husband Erik Brooks; his sister Shelley Couch and many loving cousins and friends. Funeral services will be at the Elsinore Christian Church on Saturday, July 18 at 2pm. Burial will be next to his son at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton. Gravesite service will be at Loma Vista at 11:30am on 7/17. If you plan to attend, please wear your Hawaiian shirt. This will be a celebration of a sweet, funny man. We want to celebrate with joy. He was very special, full of love for family and friends, and a ready laugh. He will be missed by many
