Steven Ramirez Gonzalez Obituary

Steven Ramirez Gonzalez, lovingly called P-Pa, was born on January 18, 1950 in Montebello, CA. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, friend, and patriot. Steven proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp as a helicopter mechanic from 1967 to 1970, instilling honor, duty, and service for generations to come. Steven's legacy is carried on by his loving companion Tammy; brother Louie; four children Max, Renee, Natalie and Krista; 11 grandchildren, Jade, Rebecca, Jessica, Ruben, Alex, Elizabeth, Steven, Domenic, Devon, Talia and Matthew, and 10 feline children. Steven was preceded by parents Eneida and Louis; daughter, Elizabeth Suzanne. He celebrated his family, encouraged his children, and was always there to listen and give advice (solicited or otherwise?). As busy as he was, Steven always made time for coffee and conversation, and somehow created new traditions big and small that his family will all cherish. Steven's life was a testament to his passions, with God as his guiding light and family as his most sacred treasure. With the heart of a fighter and a smile on his face, Steven surpassed many obstacles and overcame impossible challenges with grace and determination. With a commanding voice and chiseled good looks, Steven's extensive career included radio disc-jockey, print model, television actor, film actor, voice actor, and news reporter.
With a full heart and complete trust in the Lord, Steven passed away from brain cancer on September 18, 2017.
Celebration services to honor Steven will be held at 5:30 PM on Sunday, October 1 at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena. Military Honors Ceremony will be at noon on Monday, October 2 at Riverside National Cemetery.
