TED MOORE, 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 13th 2016 from natural causes, at the Villa Healthcare Center following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Rolerhe) Moore, his sisters Wilma Jean Witt and Mami Lee Hamilton, his brother Charles Moore, his daughter Olivia Moore-Jones, his son Michael Moore, his 3 grandchildren, Andrea Moore, Johnathan Moore, Alexander Moore, and 4 great grandchildren. Born in Bell County Kentucky in 1928 to Earnest Moore and Pearlie Hoskins, Ted was one of nine siblings. Ted and Nina Margaret Woods were married in 1948 in Catoosa County, Georgia. Ted joined the military in 1948 and served tours of duty in Japan, Africa and Germany returning to the US in 1961. He was a jet engine technician for the Strategic Air Command within the Air Force and had a lifelong fascination with engine repair and maintenance. He retired from the military in 1966 as a Master Sargent and joined Lockheed Corporation as a senior technical writer where he was employed for 24 years retiring in 1990. Ted was widowed in 1988. In September 1989 Ted married Dorothy Rolerhe and made their home in Riverside. Ted was an avid photographer throughout his life. His interest in photography grew with world travel through his time in military service and after retirement he and Dorothy enjoyed extensive travel throughout the US and Canada. His final years were spent comfortably at Rosemont Villa where he was lovingly cared for. Life came full circle as a lifelong friend who shared military service with Ted also became a resident at Rosemont Villa. Ted was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His work ethic, boundless generosity and skillful wit are his gifts and legacy for both friends and family. In lieu of flowers, Ted's family suggest contributions in his memory be made to the Riverside National Cemetery or the . A funeral service will be held on March 25th at the Riverside National Cemetery followed by a private memorial service.
