TERENCE SHEILA EDDY
Age 78, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Tennova Hospital in Clarksville, TN. She was born to the late Roland Albert Eddy and Mary Catherine Pangborn Eddy on August 16,1938 in Los Angeles, CA. She attended school in Denver, CO. before attending the college of St. Benedict in Minnesota. She enlisted in the Navy where she received the Good Conduct Medal and attained the rank of E-4 before discharging from the military service to marry her late husband, Edward LaVallee.
Ms. Eddy is survived by her daughter, Sheila Lightsey; her grandson, Derek Demeduk; her brothers, Peter and David Eddy; their wives, Marion and Cleta Eddy, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Michael Stellar.
She was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was particularly close to her sister's son, Michael Stapleton, who was like a son to her. She was also very close to her son-in-law and his family, Mark Lightsey, parents Gerald and Edith Lightsey, brother, Jim Lightsey and his spouse Efren Hilera.
She leaves behind her very special friend Mandy Klinzing, with whom she shared a love of religious education and devotion to the Catholic faith.
Wherever Terry lived she was an active member of her local parish, most recently, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Hemet, California. She was dedicated to serving the community through her many ministries and volunteer work.
Terry loved to travel and had many adventures with her daughter both in country and abroad. She loved to sew, build dollhouses and was an avid reader, always seeking to learn and grow in her knowledge of the world around her.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church Monday, March 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM, followed by a private interment at the San Marcos Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.sykesfuneralhome.com
