Thelma "Tim" Huff Obituary
MRS. THELMA "TIM"' HUFF Tim passed away on December 26, 2015, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Edward, and her grandson, Justin. Tim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 19, 1920. She excelled in academics and athletics, winning the Cincinnati Junior Tennis Championship at age 16. Her graduation gift from high school was a trip to Cuba, beginning the first of many visits to countries around the world. Tim is survived by her four sons, Michael (Nancy), David (Lorraine), Thomas (Ilona) and Anthony, eight grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Acheson-Graham Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave in Riverside on Monday, January 4th, with burial at the Riverside National Cemetery alongside her beloved Ed to follow. Tim moved to Riverside in 1963 when her husband Ed, on active duty with the Air Force, was transferred to March Air Force Base. Tim remained a resident of Riverside until the end of her life. She raised her family of four boys, worked as an accountant, played golf and tennis, the latter until she reached her middle 80's. She said she stopped playing only because all of her partners had passed away. Tim was always active. She volunteered for years personally and as an officer of the Mitchell Chapter of AMC Cancer Research helping to raise funds for cancer research. One of her biggest joys, though, was working at the March Air Force Base Museum. She volunteered time there until her early 90's. Tim was loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed by all. No flowers please. If you would like you may make a donation in Tim's name to the March Air Force Base Museum. Arrangements are entrusted to Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary (951) 688-1221 Please visit www.achesonandgraham.com to leave condolences.
