Theodore P. Mohler Obituary
THEODORE P. MOHLER Age 72, passed away on April 25, 2014 from complication related to Pulmonary Fibrosis. Ted was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania to Howard Pridgeon Mohler and Pauline Evelyn Feyche. Ted was admitted for complications related to pneumonia in January. As he was his entire life, Ted was upbeat and positive throughout the challenging last months. Ted passed at his home surrounded by his wife and 3 children. Ted is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne Marie Mohler; 3 children, Linna Jensen, Niels Mohler and Erik Mohler; and 5 grandchildren. Ted has five surviving siblings, John Mohler, Greg Mohler, Rick Mohler, Kenneth Mohler and Alice Collette. Ted enlisted into the Army and progressing though officer candidate school before retiring as Major after 20+ years of service, including a tour in Vietnam. Ted then began a second career as a Civil servant working another 20+ years in various management positions with the U.S. Army Material Command in Northern Virginia. Ted retired in Temecula, California in 2005 to be near his children. Ted is remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always in a positive mood and lived in the moment. He treated everyone he met as a close friend and graciously welcomed everyone into his home. He was never given a handout and was the definition of a self-made man. In the end he was a simple person to be around and simple person to be happy; a gift we would all be fortunate to inherit. Ted's final wishes were for a celebration of life with family and friends at his home. Ted will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia later this year. Condolences are welcomed in the form of donations to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org
