Theodore Paul Schultz Jr. Obituary
THEODORE PAUL SCHULTZ, JR. Theodore Paul Schultz, Jr. passed away peacefully in Corona, CA on November 6, 2015 with family holding him while his heart slowly came to a stop. Ted, as he was lovingly called, was born October 1, 1919, in Lewistown, MT to Theodore P. Schultz, Sr., and Ester Jonely. Ted graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served in the Navy for two years during World War II and worked in Alaska on the construction of the Alaskan Highway. Ted married Katherine Byram in Toledo, IA on February 9, 1947. In 1973, the Schultzes moved to Riverside, CA. In 1975, Ted and Kay were presented with the idea of starting a school. After a lot of prayer, hard work, and planning, Agape Christian School opened its doors in 1976. Ted was also a member of the Riverside Master Chorale for 6 years. He loved woodworking, gardening, and most of all his grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine of 61 years. He leaves behind sons, Stephen and Thomas; daughters, Theone Geres and Rowena Foltz; and 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be missed and loved forever by his family and all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Akes Family Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary and Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy. A reception will be held thereafter at Don Jose's Restaurant, 3848 La Sierra Ave., Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the Path of Life Homeless Shelter in Riverside, CA. Arrangements Entrusted to the Care of 9695 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92503 (951) 785-4071.
