Thomas "Tommy" Allen Day, Jr., age 54, a lifelong Corona, CA resident, passed away on October 1, 2017.
Born on October 29, 1962 in Downey, CA he was the beloved first son of Thomas and Diane Day. In 1963, the family moved to Corona and have been a part of the community ever since.
Tommy spent a lifetime in construction. He started his career as a framer and worked his way to being part owner of Portrait Homes with his father and other family members. Tommy was a great father, an easy-going casual man, the two things he never lacked were many friends and a good punch line. He had the ability to put you completely at ease and had you laughing within 5 minutes of meeting him. Tommy was an avid sports fan and loved playing softball, golf, watching his Steelers play and attending Angel baseball games.
He will be greatly missed by his parents, Tom and Diane; his children, Candice (Chris) Erickson, Whitney, Kelsey and Nolan Day; his grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe; his brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Day and nephew and nieces, Kenny (Justine) Day and Christina Day; his brother, Garr (Kathleen) Bywater and nieces, Jacqueline and Lauren; along with many other cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A Celebration of Tommy's life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 12pm - 6pm at the Corona City Hall Courtyard, 400 S. Vicentia Ave., Corona, CA 92882. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Tommy's name to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital or .
