Thomas "Coach" Mesaros Jr. Obituary
THOMAS "COACH" MESAROS JR. Thomas passed away, peacefully, in his home, on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014, in Pismo Beach, California. He was born on July 9, 1938, and grew up in the Christy Park Community of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Thomas earned his mathematics degree at Duquesne University where he met his wife of 45 years, Cindy. Tom was a beloved math teacher and golf coach. He spent most of his career at Hemet High School in California where he taught for 21 years and coached the golf team. Many of his students, friends, and golf buddies called him "Coach". It was his nature to teach and coach at every opportunity. His true pride and joy, though, was his family. When asked about his happiest times, he described, without hesitation, the family's journey to relocate from Pennsylvania to California. Tom is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his daughters, Aimee Clark, Debbie Mesaros, and Renee Lustenberger, and his sons-in-law, Darin Clark, Tilmann Mauder, and Randy Lustenberger. Additional survivors include his four grandchildren, Jordan Clark, Brennen Clark, Trey Lustenberger, and Andrew Lustenberger. Tom was preceded in death by his four siblings, Marie James, Charles Mesaros, John Mesaros, and Elaine Palm. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 1501 West Florida Avenue, in Hemet, California. A Celebration of Life Reception will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at Soboba Springs Country Club, in the Willow Room, located at 1020 Soboba Road, in San Jacinto, California. Please share your stories and memories about Coach via the Thomas Mesaros Jr. Facebook page or contact Debbie Mesaros at [email protected] or (415)377-6411 for use at the Celebration of Life Reception. Memorial contributions are welcome and should be made to: Central Shores Oncology Nursing Society, mailed to Dr. James Malone, Attn: Linda, at 715 Tank Farm Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, OR TO: French Hospital Medical Center Foundation, 1911 Johnson Ave, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, www.supportfrenchhospital.org
