Timothy Andrew Hane Obituary
TIMOTHY ANDREW HANE, born October 15, 1969, passed into his heavenly home on March 14, 2014. He graduated from North High School in Riverside in 1988. A lifelong learner, he continued to attend college and was one class short of receiving his B.A. in English Literature from Cal State Los Angeles. His creative mind always had many plans, dreams, and ideas to share with others and to write about in a letter, blog, or discuss with friends and family. The best description of him was a thinker, reader, writer, and traveler if he had the money or a good deal! One of his greatest accomplishments was to spend 18 months in Portugal teaching English to business people or college students there. He loved living in a different culture, learning the language, and describing the people to others via word or experience. About ten years of his life was spent working for the California State AARP office in Pasadena as a senior program assistant where he was an advocate for senior citizens and political causes. A memorial service will be held for him at Metropolitan Community Church, 4607 Prospect Ave. in Los Angeles, 90027 on April 5, 2014 at 1:30pm. Tim is survived by his parents, Dr. Dean and Sheri Hane of Apple Valley, California; his brother Ted Hane of La Quinta, California; and two nieces, Victoria and Miranda Hane as well as two nephews, Christian and Miles Hane. The rest of his "family" included his three cats and two dogs! Anyone desiring to make a contribution in honor of him may contribute to: Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1180 N Indian Canyon Dr., Suite E218, Palm Springs, CA 92262; or St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation, 18300 U. S. Hwy 18, Apple Valley, CA 90027.
