Timothy Scott (Tim) Goode Obituary
TIMOTHY (TIM) SCOTT GOODE Age 57, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away quietly with his family by his side on July 31, 2015. A 1976 graduate of Ramona High School in Riverside, California, Tim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served 8 years achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. His life-long career was immersed in tele-technology, most recently working as a Network Integrator for Ericsson, Inc.. Tim was married to "the Love of His Life" Sharon Mordetzky-Goode, and together shared his passions for music, travel, fine food, and fast cars. Tim especially enjoyed classic rock by The Eagles and possessed an uncanny, Jeopardy-like knowledge of music. He was a member of the Old Farts' Racing Team and a regular frequenter of car shows. He readily volunteered for community special events and lent a hand with everything from cooking to early-morning set-up. His smiling face and willing heart will be missed at those early-morning events and at the car show entrance. Tim's interests also included NASCAR, reading and outdoor activities. Over the last 5 years, Tim with Sharon embraced a wander-lust to travel the world with globe-trotting excursions from the Mediterranean to Mexico. Tim fell in love with Cabo and it was established as their second home. Closer to home in Moreno Valley, Tim's amicable kind-heartedness and smooth sense of collegiality complemented his love of cooking when he and Sharon hosted their annual backyard "Summer Party," a much-anticipated and highly celebrated soiree to showcase their appreciation for family, friends, and those with summer-time birthdays. Tim was a proud member of the American Legion, Riverside Post 79, and an equally proud member of the Sons of the American Legion, where he volunteered monthly by putting his culinary talents to work sizzling up steaks for members and their guests. Tim is survived by his wife Sharon Mordetzky-Goode and his father, Harold LeRoy Goode of Riverside, as well as many loving relatives and friends. Tim is deeply missed by his furry children, Jack, Tink, Max, and Gracie. A memorial "Celebration of Life" will be held in Tim's honor starting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015, at the American Legion, Riverside Post 79, 2979 Dexter Dr., Riverside, CA 92501. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to c/o Old Farts Racing Team re: "Building Fund - American Legion Riverside Post 79".
