Tom C. Ruiz Obituary
TOM C. RUIZ On Saturday, July 5, 2014 Tom C. Ruiz entered Heaven at the age of 80 years old. His fight with cancer lasted for about a year and he fought till the very end. The greatest day in his life was when he met his wife, Tomoko. The two met and married in Japan while Tom was stationed in Tokyo during the Korean War. They were happily married for 57 years. Tom lived in Corona his entire life. He served at St. Edwards during his childhood years, attended Corona High School, and earned his Bachelor's degree at Cal Baptist University. He was a very ambitious man and owned countless businesses from a Gym, Laundromat, Carpet/Mattress Store, Tienda Tomas Tortiarilla, 5 different Mexican Restaurants, and A&M Design Print. Tom spent his free time being a member of the Kiwanis, Mexican Chamber of Commerce, and also held honorary positions on the Grand Jury and the Selective Service Board. Currently, Tom is survived by his wife Tomoko and his four children Tony, Cyndie, Terry, and Tommy Jr. He has twenty-one grandchildren as well as thirteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th, 2014, 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel Livingwater, 1065 Railroad St. Corona, CA 92882. Tom's son, Pastor Tommy Ruiz Jr, will be the Officiating Pastor for the service. At the moment the Ruiz family is not asking for visitations but for all condolences to be directed towards the Ruiz Children. "Life's not easy, so work hard." -Tom Ruiz Sr.
