Torrance Sloan Nevatt Obituary
TORRANCE SLOAN NEVATT, age 35, passed peacefully on August 13, 2016. Tory was born August 2, 1981, in Fontana, Ca. and was a lifelong resident of Moreno Valley, Ca. Tory worked most of his professional life alongside family and friends at Inland Empire Hot Spring Spas. After graduating Valley View High School, in 1999, he attained his Associate of Arts Degree from Riverside Community College. Tory also is a graduate of Crafton Hills Fire Academy. He was a volunteer fireman and first responder for several years with the Moreno Valley Fire Department. He is survived by his mother and father, Thea and Chuck Nevatt, one sister, four brothers, a proud uncle to six nephews and seven nieces, three aunts, and two uncles. Tory's dream was fulfilled upon finding a home and his own path in Yucaipa, Ca. He was a light that burned twice as bright for half as long. Viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m, followed by a ceremony at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, in Redlands, Ca. on Friday, August 19th. Father Pete, Trinity Episcopal Church, will officiate over the ceremony. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands, Ca. at 12:30 p.m. A reception will follow for all family and friends at Tory's childhood home. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to give to a in Tory's name. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa, CA.
