Valeta "Vee" McGilvray Obituary
VALETA "VEE" MCGILVRAY Vee passed from "death unto life" when she went to meet her Lord, May 12. 2013. Vee was born July 29, 1937 in Akron, Colorado. She married Duncan McGilvray August 22, 1958. They raised 2 children together. Her son Bill preceded her in death. Her mornings began with a cup of coffee and the sports page. She was a die-hard Bronco and Angels fan. Could not believe how those "boys" disappointed her every year. At family gatherings, she was always asked to bring her famous chili-cheese dip. Vee was a member at Riverside Baptist Church. She loved the women's bible study and the fellowship of the congregation there. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Duncan; her daughter Wendee Backstrom and son-in-law Craig Backstrom; grandson and his wife, Shayne; and Amy Clemens and dozens of adopted grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Vee will be missed by her many friends and her family. Psalm 96:1 Sing unto the Lord a new song; sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless His name, show forth His salvation from day to day. Private interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA.
