Valtie D. Beck Obituary
Age 87, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Apple Valley, CA,. passed peacefully on January 16, 2017.
Born November 24, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA she was the second child to Raymond and Alice (Balsz) Dellsite. Val married Warren Anderson November 24, 1946. After Warren's passing she married Fred J. Beck November 19th, 1952.
Val enjoyed many hobbies from crocheting, sewing and quilting, she loved crafting of every kind. She had great mechanical skills and would fix anything from cars, appliances, furniture and the early TV's by tapping on the tubes with a wooden spoon. She was a great cook who could whip up a three course meal over a sterno stove.
A lover of fishing, Val and Fred would spend many days on Lake Silverwood. She had an adventurers spirit and together she and Fred traveled to Costa Rica, Alaska, Florida and Hawaii. They camped from California to the East Coast and back. Her children, family and friends will remember her as loving, protective and humble, with a wicked sense of humor. She wanted nothing but the best for them and their families. She lovingly passed all her love of family, humor, talents and spirit onto her children.
Val is survived by her four children, Renee (Anderson) Forman (Tim), David Anderson, Venessa (Beck) Hornemann (Peter), and Monette (Beck) Mendoza; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings Stan Balsz, Ken Dellsite (Sue) and Carole (Dellsite) Lozano (John) and scores of nieces and nephews. Val was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years (Fred); her sister Nola (Dellsite) Ainsworth and brother-in-law James Ainsworth.
Services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed with a reception in the hospitality room at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary Chapel, 3520 East Washington St, Colton CA. Val will be deeply missed.
