Virgil Rhodes Obituary
VIRGIL RHODES Virgil passed away February 23, 2013 in Las Vegas. Virgil was born in Compton, CA on June 23, 1951 and lived in Riverside for more than 30 years, but most recently in Topock, AZ. Virgil spent the earlier years of his career as an ironworker. After retiring he worked at his family's business, R & R Rentals, in Riverside for more than 10 years. Virgil was a charismatic, fun-loving, and generous man. He spent his childhood and much of his adult life at the Colorado River near Blythe and was an avid boater and water skier. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, golf, and riding his Harley. He is survived by his wife, Tammy of Topock, AZ; two sons, Troy and Virgil of Springfield, MO; stepson, Eric Frega; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, three brothers; James of Boise, ID; Chuck of Perris; and Denny of Riverside; two sisters, Glenda Danforth of Grants Pass, OR; and Shirley Hagee of Perris. A celebration of Virgil's life will take place at the home of Denny Rhodes on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 12:00 pm.
