Virginia Darling "Gini" Rippey Obituary
VIRGINIA "GINI" DARLING RIPPEY was born in LA on Oct. 11, 1921 and passed peacefully in Murrieta on Feb. 28, 2014. Raised with her brother by her mother and grandmother, she had a bold spirit and served in the ambulance corps and danced hula for the troupes during WWII. She married Richard William Rippey on Aug. 23, 1946. Their journey sent them to Illinois, Washington, California, Hawaii, back to California and finally to Murrieta. Gini was a prolific fine artist of great talent who won numerous awards throughout her life. She loved to socialize and hosted many fun gatherings at her beautiful homes. She was a faithful woman of God who worshiped with joy and spirit; all who knew her were touched by her loving heart. She is survived by her daughters, Lucinda (Rick) Dangles of Sacramento, CA; Denice (Jim) Stout of Lodi, CA; Jill (Skip) Jensen, of Kamuela, Hawaii; and her son Jeffrey (Dee) Rippey. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and beloved extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her husband of nearly 65 years, Richard William Rippey, her brother Richard John Stahley, and her great-grandson "Ricky V". Our angel is now in heaven. She was laid to rest next to her husband at Riverside National Cemetery on March 18.
