WALLACE JAMES DOWSE PARTRIDGE Wallace crossed the bar into heaven on June 10, 2014. He entered this life on September 25th in 1920 to the late Andrew and Vida Dowse in Los Angeles, California. After the death of his birth-mother, he was adopted at age five by Edward and Della Partridge of Arlington, California. He gave praise to God that by the hand of the Lord he became the son of the Partridges who raised him in a loving and God-fearing Christian home. Wallace married the love of his life, Melvina White, in 1940. Together they brought their two boys Wallace & James into the world. Wallace then went on to voluntarily enlist into the United States Army during World War II to proudly serve his country during the most critical of wars. Soon after his discharge he went home and expanded his loving family with the addition of his daughters Mary & Patricia . He was a humble quiet servant of the Lord and at the time of his passing was the longest serving member of the Union-Victoria-Grove Community Church fellowship. He became a charter member when the fellowship formed in 1925. He began working for UPS in 1942 where he earned the nickname "Speedy". Wallace had many hobbies and interests in life. He enjoyed the simpler things such as woodworking. He would craft wooden writing pens from local natural resources. He also enjoyed tending the plentiful orange groves for which Riverside is well known. Wallace was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #635 of Riverside Wallace James Dowse Partridge is survived by his beloved wife Melvina; proud sons Wallace & James; loving daughters Mary & Patricia; 10 loved grandchildren; 26 adored great grandchildren; 6 cherished great great grandchildren. Graveside Funeral Ceremony to be held June 25th at 12 O'Clock Noon in Riverside National Cemetery, staging area # 1 Services Entrusted to the care of Akes Family Funeral Home.
