WALTER R. VLADOVICH Feb 9, 1934 March 2, 2015 Walter R. Vladovich, of Riverside, CA, passed away peacefully in his sleep, the morning of March 2, 2015 at age 81. He was born February 9, 1934 in Aliquippa, PA and was a resident of Riverside, CA for 53 years. Walter served in the US Air Force as a B-36 Flight Crew member (also known as the "Peacemaker") on the largest airplane ever built during the Korean War. After he left the Air Force in 1955, he married the love of his life, Jaqueline Greco, on March 11, 1956. They went on to have two sons, Rick and Ronny. They were married for over 51 years until the time of her passing in 2007. They would then begin their long journey together in California enjoying time with weekend pool gatherings with family and friends, church, traveling to local destinations in San Diego, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, the mountains and spur of the moment long drives to various locations. Walt was a serial entrepreneur (before that term was coined) during his career, working in many varied fields and industries. He worked as a GM of Warren Anderson Ford and was one of the top salesman in the country. He later became a stockbroker and member of the NY Stock Exchange; he started ventures in mortgage lending, equipment leasing, insurance, was a General Building Contractor, video store franchise retailer, among his various endeavors. Walter was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jacqueline Marie Vladovich; son Ronald J. Vladovich, and is survived by his son, Rick A. Vladovich (Lisa); his brother, Anthony J. Vladovich, of Aliquippa, PA; his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Mary Helen (Greco) Wesolowski, of Riverside, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and he will be dearly missed. In honor of Walt, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Rd, Suite 250, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301, in honor of his late wife, Jackie. The memorial/viewing will be held at Arlington Mortuary, 9645 Magnolia Ave, Riverside from 4-8 PM, this Wednesday, March 11th, which would have been Walt & Jackie's 59th wedding anniversary. Services for Walter will be held the following morning with an 11:30 mass at St. Thomas Catholic Church 3774 Jackson St, Riverside CA, March 12, followed by Military interment at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.
