WARREN LEE VAN VALEY Passed September 1, 2014 Retired Deputy Marshall/Sheriff - 25 years in San Bernardino County. Retired in good standing. Van was a fair man, honest, and a perfectionist in every way. Best friends in Marshall's Department was Larry and Ron. Enjoyed his career and all those involved. He called things as he saw it, he was never wrong. Had a sense of humor and wit, giving to all who came in contact with him, a better day and a smile to last. This made him unforgettable. Hobbies: Golf, quail hunting, travel, cooking, entertaining and reading. Born and raised in Chicago, IL. Family of five. His sister, Phyllis, whom he adored. He was a carefree, happy lad, growing in wisdom and stature. Van held a BA degree. Served his country with four years in the U.S. Navy, which gave him full military honors at the time of his passing. While in San Diego, CA, Van married. The union brought 3 daughters and 4 grandsons, who he loved and was proud of. Van had a love for dogs, always had to have one, was never without one. He was an amazing man, overcoming obstacles, reaching every goal. Beautiful in thought and touch. Van became a born again christian later on in life. This made him a completed, amazing, unforgettable, remarkable, beautiful man in every way. Favorite song was "AMAZING GRACE". Van, daddy, grandpa, we love you, miss you so. Can't wait to see you again. Come quickly Lord Jesus!
