William Alexander (Bill) Cook Obituary
WILLIAM (BILL) ALEXANDER COOK, 100, passed away on January 15, 2016 in his home at Hemet West Mobile Estates, with wife Jewel at his side. Born June 28, 1915 in Waterloo, Iowa, Bill was a graduate of Cornell College (Mt. Vernon, Iowa). After serving as a cryptographer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, he relocated to the Auburn, Calif. area where he worked for the state as a clinical psychologist. He and his first wife Lois raised four children. Bill and Jewel, who married on January 25, 1997, enjoyed taking long RV trips throughout the country and Canada, and visiting with family. Bill also played golf and bridge, developed his long-time interest in lapidary and made jewelry for friends. In addition, he served on the Hemet West Recreation Board and the Homeowner's Association. Bill was predeceased by Lois and three adult children, in addition to a brother and sister. Survivors include wife Jewel; daughter Judy Schostag (Alan); three step-children (and spouses); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
