Dr.  William Eric Ermert Obituary
DR. WILLIAM ERIC ERMERT 1953-2016 Dr. William Eric Ermert, age 62, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He passed peacefully and was surrounded by loved ones during his last days. William was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1953 to William and Eileen Ermert. He was a proud and loving older brother to his sister Paula (Ermert) Allbeck. In June of 1959 his family moved to California when William was 6 years old. William graduated from Ramona High School in Riverside, California in 1971. He also met his loving wife of 38 years, Barbara Ermert, at Ramona High School. After high school, William earned his bachelor's degree at Cal State Fullerton, his credential and master's degree at the University of California Riverside, and his doctorate degree from Pepperdine University. In 1975, William began a 38 year career in the Riverside Unified School District as a baseball and football coach and English teacher at his alma mater, Ramona High School. From there he moved on to become the Principal of Adult Alternative and Continuing Education, the Principal of Arlington High School, the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Opportunities and Adult Education, as well as the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services, Secondary Education. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, friend, and Papa. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ermert; his daughter Lindsey and Kevin (son-in-law) Rosa; his son William and Katie (daughter-in-law) Ermert; and his grandchildren, Brayden and Bailey Rosa, as well as, William and Tinley Ermert. He is also survived by his sister, Paula and Dave (brother-in-law) Allbeck, and their children Daniel and Krysten. Throughout William's lifetime, he was extremely passionate about his family, education, and the game of baseball. He was known for his compassion for others and his selfless and sacrificial service to his community. He will be dearly missed. A memorial service in his honor will be held at The Grove Community Church at 19900 Grove Community Dr., Riverside, CA 92508 on Tuesday, October 11 at 5:00 p.m. All who are wishing to celebrate his life are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation (REEF) toward the Dr. William Ermert Memorial Scholarship Fund" Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation, c/o Sandy Ramirez, P.O.
