William Huelsman Obituary
WILLIAM HUELSMAN Age 89, of Port Charlotte, FL, died on October 31, 2016 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. He was born in Cleveland, OH to George and Kathleen Huelsman. William was a WWII Veteran who served as a sergeant in the Army Air Corp in Kwajalein (Marshall Islands in the West Pacific). He worked for Ohio Gear in Cleveland, moving with his family to California in 1959. He then moved to Riverside County in 1962 where he owned and operated the Huelsman Chicken Ranch in Norco for many years and Kelly's Market in Mira Loma, all while working at various companies as a master gear machinist, including FMC and Sergeant Engineering. Jobs he was particularly proud of was making gears for satellites and AWACS planes, tasks that required extreme precision, a skill set very few people possessed. As busy as he was he always had time for his wife and five children. In 2004 he finally retired and moved to Florida to be close to his children and grandchildren. William is survived by his loving wife Genevieve of 63 years; sisters, Mary Ellen and Jeanne; daughters, Karen (Ed), Katy, Linda (Frank); one son Kevin (Marge); grandsons, Rob (Carla), Stuart, William (Luz), Tyler, David, Jonathan (Estela) and Donovan; granddaughters, Jennifer, Lauren, Abigail and Julia; and great grandchildren, Enedina, Elena, Jonathan, Lexi, Teddy, Delaney, Lilly, Zander and Levi. William was predeceased by his parents George and Kathleen, his brothers Virgil, Clarence, Glenn, Neal and sisters, Kathleen and Delores and his daughter Sarah. William was a member of St. Mel's Catholic Church, the American Legion and a staunch Republican. A mass will be held on Friday, November 18 at 11:45 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 320 E. Dade Avenue, Bushnell, FL. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 1:00. Father Waldermar Maciag will be performing the service along with military honors with personnel from McGill Air Force Base. A celebration of his life will be held following the service. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the in his memory.
