He will be truly missed by his family and many friends. William is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Patricia E. Willie had a love of sports so much that he started the first "Gridiron Club" at Corona High School and was also involved in helping start the first "Connie Mack" baseball team in Corona. He was in the Army during WWII and retired from the Calif. Highway Patrol. He also had a love and knowledge of horses and cattle, so after retirement he sold feed throughout the Chino Valley and visited "Flo's" at the Chino Airport on a regular basis. Willie had a passion and talent for roasting meat underground, which started a Thanksgiving tradition at the Wilkerson house that is still carried on today. Per his request Willie will be cremated and arrangements will be made by the National Cremation Society and a private service will be held at a later date.
