William Warren (Bill) Schy Obituary
WILLIAM WARREN (BILL) SCHY William Warren (Bill) Schy peacefully left his body Friday morning January 16, 2015. He maintained his indomitable will to live and never quit spirit until the end. Bill was born February 9, 1923 in Tekoa, Washington. He moved with his family to Montebello, California in his teens. He graduated from Montebello High School and attended Pasadena City College. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp during WWII, and served as a flight instructor. Bill was always gregarious, friendly and a top-notch salesman, working in a variety of retail and commercial fields. He ultimately established his own company, Totalplan, in the late 1960's and continued to work there until just recently. He loved to be busy and in addition to his work, he was an avid golfer. He belonged to Canyon Crest Country Club for over 40 years and traveled the U.S. and Europe pursuing the game. His wife of 68 years, Norma Lee Schy, and his eldest son, William Earl Schy, precedes Bill in death. His 3 remaining children, Robert Warren of Apple Valley, Utah, Marilyn Cappelletti of Alamo, California and Madilyn Boostrom of Bend, Oregon, his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren survive him. A family tribute to Bill and a celebration of his life will be held at the home of his granddaughter Jennie Schy in Las Vegas, NV.
