Willis N. (Bill) Parks Obituary
WILLIS N. PARKS (BILL) passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 with family by his side. Bill lived in Riverside since 1946 and graduated from Poly High School. Bill was a family man who was involved in Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed introducing young people to hiking, fishing, and backpacking. Bill had a love for folk music and played guitar and banjo with Riverside Folksingers Society. Later, he joined Chip Chuckers woodcarvers and crafted wooden toys, figurines, and artwork. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley; brother Jack; children Dan, Kathy, David, and Susan; grandchildren Patrick, Steve, Kyle, Timmery, Matthew, Brett, Zachary, Todd; and great grandchildren Kate and Brendan. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 4845 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA, 92506.
