WILLSON NEIL PATTERSON "PAT" March 20, 1930 - January 18, 2015 Willson Neil Patterson, "Pat", died peacefully and without pain, surrounded by his beloved family two days after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage. Pat was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and spent most of his life in California. He received his B.A. Degree in Economics from UC Berkeley in 1953. He spent four years in the US Air Force during Korea, attaining the rank of Captain. Pat spent his career in the Human Resources industry. The better part of his professional career was as the Personnel Manager for the Riverside Press Enterprise. Pat was first married to Jeanne Wasserboehr and they had two children, Gayle and Dean. He married Sue Jeffery, the love of his life, in 1968, and they had two daughters Kristen and Erin. Pat and Sue were married for forty-seven happy, loving years. Pat was a music lover and sang all of his adult life. One of the highlights of his singing, was time he spent with a large choral group in Green Valley AZ. Pat was thrilled to be part of that group during two singing trips abroad. Pat was a voracious reader, who was fiercely interested in politics and history. He was a lifelong Democrat, who was passionate about civil rights and social change. His loving wife Sue; his daughters Gayle, Kristen and Erin, and his son Dean, as well as five grandchildren Kiana, Keeley, Sydney, Rory and Sawyer, survive Pat. A Celebration of Pat's life will be held February 14 at 10:00 AM, at the First United Methodist Church, 341 South Kalmia Street, Escondido, CA 92025.
