Wilson A. "Bill" Katter Obituary
WILSON A. KATTER ("BILL"), loving father, brother, friend and husband, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 10, 2016 of prostate cancer. He was 81 years old. Born in Minnesota on June 1, 1935, he spent his childhood in Minneapolis, then attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Moving out to California after college, he studied theology and became very active in ministry in Pasadena. While traveling and performing with his siblings - The Katter Family Singers - he met his future wife Linda. They married, and then eventually settled down in Hemet, CA, where they raised their family. A few years after Linda's passing in 1997, Bill relocated to Temecula, CA, where he resided for the remainder of his life. He is survived by all of his siblings (Paul, Jan, Lori, and John); his three daughters, Arlinda Modglin, Chandra Kelley and Janine Keeperman, and five grandchildren (with another one on the way). He greeted everyone he met with a welcoming smile and encouraging heart. He had an insatiable desire for knowledge and studied a variety of topics throughout his life. He was passionate about studying the Bible and sharing God's love with others. He was a gifted singer and produced several albums with his four siblings. He loved God and his family with all his heart, and will be very dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at Rancho Community Church, in Temecula, the church he regularly attended, on Saturday, July 16th at 11am. He will be buried in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery with his wife, Linda Katter.
