Sergio Delgado Obituary

SERGIO A. DELGADO III Our Precious Beloved Sergio A. Delgado III left this world on 10/02/15 lifted up to our Lord by the amazing, most beautiful prayers anyone could be so blessed by, and now has eternal peace, and rejoices in his new life reunited with past family, friends, and all his many pets. He will be dearly missed, but will live on in our hearts forever, and never be forgotten. Those who knew him or had any contact with him are better people because of him. He was just 34 years young. Was born 02/17/81 in Fontana, CA, but lived his whole life in Riverside, CA He is survived by his Mama Priscilla, Papa Sergio Jr.; brother Emilio Delgado, U.S. Marine Corporal; the love of his life: Heidi Kinkade, who we are blessed to call our daughter; Aunties Rosalie Gomez, Josie Donis, and Yolanda Gutierrez; Uncle Andy Delgado; and many cousins, friends, and co-workers. He attended Magnolia Elementary, Central MS, and Poly HS, and graduated with honors earning his Associate in Science from Chaffey College in 2013. He earned two state CA licenses in Radiologic Technology, and Fluoroscopy. He worked for Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he was well liked, and respected by his co-workers, and enjoyed making guacamole for their pot lucks. None was ever left over because it was that great :) He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Riverside, CA. Enjoyed life in general, and lived it with dignity, honor, and always putting others needs before his own. He was that kind of wonderful in every way possible. Loved various music, going to movies and Hanger 24 with his great buddy Jerry Moya & his lovely wife. He greatly enjoyed attending comedy acts by the most talented and kind Christopher Titus, and his lovely wife Rachel who provided us with the best medicine of comedy. In lieu of flowers please send donations to CACF Memo MOMS of Military, 8223 California Ave., Riverside, CA 92504. For any questions please call the church at 951-359-3582 ext. 102. All donations are tax deductible. In closing he helped in working with MOM - Moms of Military to help honor our brave, selfless troops with long over due permanent military banners in the city of Riverside to be placed on our most traveled streets to show our heartfelt gratitude, pride, and respect. All donations will be used in his honor to make this loving tribute a reality on behalf of his brother, and best friend, and all those who currently serve our great country. As a proud military family, we support our troops. Always have. Always will.

I was Sergio's dental hygienist for the last few years, and over the years we have treated each other like friends. From the moment I met him he was very kind, respectful, and very attentive to everything I would talk about. As we got to know each other better, he was very caring and would always ask about my family who he became familiar with, and we would catch up with what all was going on in each other's lives. I watched him go through his rad tech program and on to different jobs. Our last visit was in August this year and he talked about being very happy with his job situation. Almost every visit he would also talk about his girlfriend who he cared very much for and was very proud of her as an ultrasound tech. He seemed always eager to learn new things and strive for the best oral hygiene possible, which he was very successful with. I just found out today of his passing and am in shock and disbelief, and will miss seeing him every 3 months. I give my heartfelt condolences to his family and girlfriend, though I do not know you all, but being associated with him must make you amazingly caring people.

Sergio was a hard worker with a bright spirit and quick wit. He will be remembered fondly. This world was left a better place because of his presence.

My heart was heavy this week with this heartbreaking news. Sergio was a genuine, sincere and kind person with exactly the kind of heart you would want taking care of you as your Radiologic Technologist. I was fortunate to play a part of his learning and growing during his time at Chaffey, and I know his loss will be profoundly felt in every life he touched. My sincere prayers go out to all of his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to the Delgado Family. I first met Sergio while he did his clinical training at RCRMC. He was a great person. After he graduated I was lucky enough to work with him for a short time until he left to go work at Loma Linda. He will be missed and he's in my prayers.
