Bonnie Childress Obituary

November 7, 1945 - October 5, 2018Age 72, passed away in Hemet, CA after an extended battle with lung cancer. Bonnie was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She grew up in Holly Springs, Mississippi and moved to California after graduating from high school in 1963. She raised a family in Torrance with her first husband, Stephen Goode. Bonnie was a talented miniature artist and collector who traveled extensively to craft shows around California.In 1990, Bonnie returned to her roots in Tennessee where she met her second husband, Kenneth Childress, at the Memphis Bop Club. They danced and traveled together all over the South until 2003 when they moved to San Bernardino. After her husband retired, they moved to Hemet in 2012. Bonnie adored her family and friends and brought joy to everyone she knew. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Hubert Tomlinson, and her sister, Trina (Walter) Priddy. Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth Childress, her two sons, David (Michelle) Goode and Michael Goode, granddaughter, Simone (Nick) Carpio, grandson, Dylan Goode, step-daughter, Angela (Brooks) Bond, grandson, Jalen Bond, step-son, Alan (Jo) Childress and sister, Creed (Tom) Holland.

I´m still a wreck after 4 years. I miss you as much now as then. You are still a part of me and wish there were more people around to talk about you. Everything just seems closed! Miss you Sis and always will. Love ya forever. Creed

Dear Bonnie
At last I have found you.How I wish it had been sooner. I looked for you thru the years.
I remember us, two young moms, with our two little boys, David and Chris, birthday parties and baby sitting for each other.
