Jason Chumley Obituary

Jason Amerson Chumley was born April 4, 1974 in Soldotna, Alaska. He went to be with Jesus February 8, 2021 in Sun City Arizona after battling pancreatic cancer for 18 months. He reassured us many times that God knew his expiration date long before he got cancer and that it had not changed with his diagnosis.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his brother Leelynn Chumley, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is survived by his parents Norm and Barbara Blakeley and Lee and Karen Chumley. He is survived by his siblings Christi Wells, Jesse Chumley, Molly Blakeley, Sam Blakeley, Tyle Langhennig, and Brandon Langhennig. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Weston Gilmore, Austin Gilmore, Garrett Gilmore, Jacee Gilmore, Logan Chumley, Paige Chumley, Emerald Poland, Anni Poland, and Luke Poland. There are many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends, a list much too long to mention.
Jason went to Soldotna High School, Class of 1992. He worked in the title industry for 25 years. He lived in Alaska, Washington, Texas, Arkansas, and Arizona. Jason was full of laughter and joy and brought that with him everywhere he went. He loved to travel, see new places and meet new people. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. He helped his sister raise her four children and loved them as his own. He was the life of the party and brought love, light and laughter to every person and every situation he encountered. He had the ability to make every person he was with feel adored and beautiful, because that is what he saw. All through his battle with cancer, he was full of hope, laughter, love, and most of all gratitude. He praised God, his medical team, and his family and talked about nothing but how blessed he was and how much support he was given.
We will be celebrating his life on May 22, 2021 at the Sterling Senior Citizens Center in Sterling, Alaska. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in his name.

I am so sorrowful. I was Jason's assistant at Commerce Title Company. He was so great and wonderful. I enjoyed working with him and Mr.Ronnie. I was looking for him to reach out and reconnect. I am heartbroken. To his family and friends, I give my condolences.
