Born and raised in The Bronx, New York, David moved to Sequim, in 2005, in large part to pursue his LOVE for the outdoors and especially his passion for fishing. Prior to that he lived in San Anselmo, California, for more than 40 years.

A lively and intelligent presence with a zest for life, he was well traveled and keenly interested in the world around him. He was a man of all trades. There wasn't a tool he didn't own or hadn't mastered; he could build or fix anything. Self-taught, brilliant, and an Army veteran, he was a straight shooter, fiercely independent, raconteur, wine enthusiast, foodie, humorous, ladies' man and studied in mycology.

He was an adoring and supportive younger brother to Florida State Representative Elaine Gordon (deceased).

The "Funcle" (fun uncle), he is survived by his family of four nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.

He passed peacefully at his home, in his own time and with dignity, surrounded by family and friends following the diagnosis of a terminal illness.

Rest In Peace Uncle David. We love you and will remember you always.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. He was such a courteous, pleasant and informative gentleman. I appreciated that he talked AND listened (a rare combo). Although I didn’t see David too often, I always enjoyed the times I did. I’ll always remember chatting with David for hours and never running out of things to talk about. He was a pleasure to know. I’ll miss him.
