Viola B. Cagey, age 88, died of natural causes at home with family surrounding her. She was born to Robert & Jessie Mike.
She worked as a dishwasher/Cook at Aggies in Port Angeles, also worked for the PA School District, and she worked for STOWW. She was the Tribal Council secretary from 1968-1970.
She worked in the Lummi Casino and at 7 Cedars Casino as Soft Count Clerk.
Viola married Verne L. Charles of Port Angeles & William Cagey of Bellingham Wa. (Lummi Nation).
She loved to go camping, sporting events, Bingo, Pow Wows, dancing, fishing, beachcombing, and people watching. She also loved gardening and to travel on canoe journeys.
Survivors include: Daughters Elaine & Mike McFadden, Brenda & Becky Charles, Danielle Cagey; Sons Alan & Debbie Charles, Bill & Dan Cagey; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Husbands Verne Charles & William Cagey; Brothers Richard, John & Charles Mike; Sisters Evelyn Brooks, Betty Cooke and Barbara Poellot; Sons Robin, Paul, Michael & Jeffery Charles; Grandson Robin James of Lummi.
