Mildred E. Martin Obituary
Mildred E. Martin, 91, formerly of Lower Paxton Township, passed away Monday June 10, 2019 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. Born September 5, 1927, in Leacock Township, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Mentzer) Melligan. Mildred had been united in marriage with Dewey Martin, prior to his passing on September 7, 1999. A member of Faith Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, Mildred received the greatest fulfillment by caring for the needs of her family. She believed nurturing them and seeing to their well-being was her highest priority. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Dan) Maguire, of Mechanicsburg, Sandy (Ed) Walters, of Boiling Springs and Linda Martin, of Cape May, NJ, and sons, Doug (Susan) Martin, of Enola, and Scott (Elaine) Martin, of Harrisburg. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Robert, and sister, Eleanor. Her Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday June 14, 2019 at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, with Rev. Allison R. Spooner, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Friday, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M., prior to the service.
