Dorothy "Doll" McCurdy Sargen, 74, of Steelton, died Monday, May 13, 2019 in her home. She was born July 12, 1944 in Lancaster, PA, daughter of the late Freeman S. and Sarah (Louise) Statler McCurdy. She was a retired waitress at Bratina Steakhouse, Middletown and a social member of St. Lawrence Club, Steelton, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Libhart-Dyer American Legion Post 197, Bainbridge. Doll was the widow of Louis M. Sargen, Sr. and is survived by her children, Deborah Bates and her husband, Robert of Elizabethtown; Jeffrey Funck and his wife, Lisa of New York; Tracy A. Funck of Harrisburg; and Gregory Funck and his companion, Cathy of Chambersburg; stepson, Louis M. Sargen, Jr. and his companion, Gail of Rheems; a brother, Ronald Parker of Delaware; two sisters, Joyce Zeager and her husband, Charles of Georgia and Donna Funk of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard McCurdy and sisters, Jean Myers and Patricia Detz. Doll loved her family, relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S. Second St., Steelton with Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Private burial will be held in Bainbridge Cemetery.
