Paige Anne Robinson

Paige Anne Robinson, 63, of Grantville, passed away on June 9th, 2019. She was born on September 24th, 1955 in New Brunswick, NJ daughter of Roberta (Betty) Robinson and the late C. Davis Robinson. She attended Steinert High School in Hamilton, NJ, and graduated from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA with a degree in Psychology. Paige then remained in central Pennsylvania where she became a Volunteer Coordinator and Law Enforcement Training Specialist for Women in Need. She was also the first civilian instructor at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy developing an educational program about crisis intervention, rape crisis and domestic violence. Paige found a career in the Susquehanna Township Police Department where she was the first female officer. During her tenure she served as a Patrol officer, K9 officer and then as Patrol Sergeant and Community Technical Services Unit Sergeant until she retired in the mid-1990s. She was honored for her community service by being named Penbrook American Legion Post 730's Police Officer of the Year. Paige's love of animals prompted her to buy a farm in Grantville, PA where she was the owner and trainer at Whispering Pines Kennel. She adored her pets, or her kids as she called them. She had many German Shepherds over the years, as well as horses, cats and birds. She had a passion for music and playing her piano gave her great joy. She combined her life-long interest of music, travel and her heritage frequenting the "Cruise of the Irish Stars". She especially liked visiting Florida and Jonesport, Maine, a small coastal town in where she spent many happy summers with her friends and family. Paige passed from this life unexpectedly and far too soon. She will be remembered for her ability to make you laugh, her smile, her generosity and her big heart. She has left behind her loving mother Roberta Robinson and siblings Vikki, Patti, brother-in-law Ken and nephews, Rob and Patrick who will carry her in their hearts forever. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home with Rev. Allison R. Spooner officiating. There will be a visitation from 6-7 P.M at the funeral home.
