Bishop Walker, 91, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Bishop Walker was a retiree of St. Regis Paper Company and founded the Emmanuel Holiness Apostolic Faith Church #1 where he pastured for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mother Savilla Walker and three of his children Henrietta Posey, James & Willie Walker.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 22 years Mother Ella Mae Walker; daughters, Jewel Judkins and Elder Annie B. Walker; sons & their spouses, Michael & Carlos Walker, General Overseer Richard & Deborah Walker, Ernest, Thomas, & Henry Walker; stepchildren and their spouses, Barbara and Patricia Riley, Veronica & Troy Bynum, Jonita & Grady Mitchell, Sarah Riley, SSGT Alfred & Sue Riley, Jr.; sisters & brothers-in-law, Lela & Jonathan Brantley, Annie & Anniston Durley; brother & Sister-in-law, James & Althea Walker; 42 grandchildren and numerous great great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are today at 11 am at Pentecostal Temple, Bishop J. D. Young, Pastor, with Overseer Richard Walker & Elder Annie B. Walker, officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with BENBOE FUNERAL HOME directing.
