Ross Glenn Russell, Sr., age 82, passed away peacefully in his home in Pace, FL on May 23, 2013.
Ross spent his adult life in Santa Rosa County. AS a young man, Ross served 3 years in the U.S. Army. Later, he worked at the Pensacola Naval Air Station and retired after 35 years of service. He was a Past Master mason and a Past Royal Patron of the Amaranth at the Pace Masonic Lodge. He served in the Santa Rosa Auxiliary Police and was a avid HAM radio operator. (WA4RQN)
He was dedicated to his family and is survived by his wife of 62 years, Augustine Harris Russell; one brother, Don Russell; four children, Sylvia Love, Ross Russell, Jr., Raymond Russell, and Sandra Ebanks; six grandchildren; and six great grand children.
Funeral will be held at 10a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013 at the Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel with Rev. LaDon Hall, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-7p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery.
