1939 - 2013

Charles (Chuck) Robert Warner, age 73 passed away on Saturday, January 19th. Chuck was born June 10, 1939 to Earl and Dorothy Warner in Norwood, Ohio. He attended Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia and graduated from The Bullis School in Silver Spring, Maryland. Preceded in death are his parents, brother Richard and sister Mary Jennings.

Survivors include his wife Sue Allen Warner, former wife Patricia Warner, son Chris (Nanci) of Apopka, Florida, Tim (Dominique) of Pensacola, Grandsons Aidan and Kyle and Granddaughter Tricia and many nieces and nephews. Chuck is also survived by his sister Dorothy (Bob) Pote.

Chuck served in the U.S. Navy for 24 years, most of this service as a weatherman. His duty stations included Operation Deep Freeze, Antarctic Expedition at McMurdo Sound, three tours in Guam, one two-year stint with the Typhoon Trackers. He also served in Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Lakehurst, New Jersey, San Diego, California, Jacksonville, Florida and Monterrey, California. Sea duty included tours on the WASP and the LEXINGTON. Chuck's final duty station was at Whiting Field, Milton, Florida.

Chuck received a B.A. from the Naval Postgraduate School and a M.A. from The Ohio State University. After retiring from the Navy he was employed as an Education Specialist, NETPMSA and then as an Escambia County High School substitute teacher. He enjoyed golf and fishing. He was a member of Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time. A memorial service celebrating Chuck's life will be held Saturday, January 26, 11 a.m. at WATERS & HIBBERT FUNERAL HOME, 124 West Gregory Street, Pensacola, Florida. A reception will follow at the Warner's home.
