Nancy Sue Elswick went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2013. Nancy was born on September 2, 1941 in Anderson, South Carolina. She married John Elswick on June 1, 1958 in Tampa, Florida. She was not only a loving wife, but a proud supporter of her husband during his 20 year military career. She was a remarkable and loving mother, grandmother, sister and compassionate caring friend. Always positive and upbeat, even when facing her many health related difficulties, Sue was always more concerned with others, making friends with those who she came into contact with during her numerous hospital stays at West Florida Hospital. Sue always had a love of reading, sharing her books with those around her. She also had a tremendous love of animals, taking on many strays over the years and supporting the ASPCA and local Wildlife Sanctuary.

Sue is survived by John Elswick, her loving husband of 54 years; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Charlie Dix; son, John Elswick, Jr; grandson, Brandon Elswick; sister, Ann Lockler; long- time friends and confident, Jo Carnley and Mary Lambert and cherished friend and most caring physician, Dr. Gina Bagneris.
