William "Bill" Joseph Norman, 80, of Pace, FL, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Bill was born to the late Joseph and Elenor Norman in Detroit, MI on May 20, 1933. He was educated and lived in Detroit until he joined the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Chief Cryptologic Technician (Communications) following a 20-year career.

Bill was an active participant in the Santa Rosa County Tea Party and made man friends at Tea Party events. He loved Talk Radio and expressing his opinion on a myriad of topics. Many lasting friendships evolved due to his on air expressions and the agreement of others with his opinions.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lois Henley Norman of Pace, FL; daughter, Joy Norman of Knoxville, TN; siblings Ron Norman of Detroit, MI, Lois Hudson of Ormond Beach, FL, and Charlene (Ron) Evans of Dearborn, MI; and step children Peggy (Gary) Skaar and Roger Henley of Pensacola, FL, Terry (Martha) Henley of Auburndale, FL, and Ronnie Henley of Graceville, FL.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Gage and his nurse Hilda, with a special thanks to Dr. Lakshmi Gopal and her staff, all at West Florida Hospital. Also, thanks to the staff and volunteers at Covenant Hospice for their compassion and attention to Bill's needs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Covenant Hospice, Pensacola, FL.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11 AM at National Cremation & Burial Society , 5641 Highway 90 West, Milton, FL, with Reverend William "Bill" Bledsoe and Mr. Gary Skaar officiating with full military honors concluding the service.

National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
