Alice Bernice Cravens

Pensacola - Alice Bernice Cravens was born May 2, 1927, to Will and Della Chapman In Evergreen, Alabama. She moved to Pensacola at an early age and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School class of 1946.

She made her career as a seamstress and later retired as a tax preparer at H and R Block.

She moved to York, Pennsylvania and united with Q.T. Cravens in marriage for over 34 years. Together they retired to Pensacola, Florida and reunited with her church home Zion Hope Primitive Baptist church in 1985, where she served as a greeter and secretary of the Women's Auxillary.

She was preceeded in death by her husband Q.T. Cravens, her granddaughter LaEtta Bernia Stallworth and her eight siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Linda Cauthen, LaPearl (Joseph) Denton, Alice Faye (Carl) Griggs, Franita Brown, her grandchildren Carlton Ryan (fiancee Yasaman Garner) Cauthen, Vanessa (Mark) Kent, Kameron (Annice) Lewis, Kendrall Lewis, her great-grandchildren Kayla and Tyra Stallworth, Makenna Kent, Konnor Lewis, Madison and Morgan Kent , Addison Lewis, and her great-great-grandson Kamari King Travis. Devoted nieces Ruby Bateman and Theresa Celestine Special Friend to the family Victor Lewis as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday May 18, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Zion Hope Primitive Baptist church, 201 West Leonard Street, Pensacola FL, 32501 with burial following at Barrancas National Cemetery.
