Betty Jean West

Cantonment - Pensacola - Betty Jean (Anderson) West, 86, of Pensacola passed away July 20, 2020. She was born on June 24, 1934 in Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Green Anderson and Ernestine Regina (Burdette) Anderson; her beloved husband Gerald Marvin "Jerry" West of 34 years; and son Edward Noles "Bubba" West.

Betty grew up in Franklin and Oakridge, TN. She met the love of her life, Jerry West, in the Panama Canal Zone where they married on February 06, 1953. They were stationed in Pensacola where they made it their forever home. She strived at NAS's bowling leagues. She was a devoted housewife and caregiver to son Bubba. As an avid crocheter, she held weekly 'craft day' Thursdays at her home where many family and friends gathered to make crafts. After 50+ years, she was reunited with her Tennessean ole' coal bin sweetheart, Frank Wright. The family is relieved to know she was welcomed home in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Betty is survived by her daughters Brenda Plenkers (Steve) and Tina Morgan (Frank); grandchildren Frank Plenkers (Robin), Shelley Davoli, Wendy Morris (Zach), and Kristina Roy (Shaun); great-grandchildren Tyler Morris, Sterling Brock, MaKaleb Davoli, Evan and Abigail Morris, and Meadow Davoli; her sweetheart Frank Wright; and many friends.

Betty West is buried at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola.
